Pyramid Lace Scarf

This scarf is knitted using Madeline Tosh DK yarn. The subtle hand-dyed color shows off the depth of the pattern. In addition to a scarf, we have a cowl using the same pattern stitch.
DK: 6” x 65”
Worsted: 7” x 65”
400 yds DK or Worsted Wt yarn
DK – Size 7 and 9 knitting needles
Worsted – Size 9 and 10 knitting needles
The scarf is worked in two halves, then joined at
the center using the 3-needle bind off.
Using larger needle, cast on 33 sts.
(ws): K1, *P1, K1* to end of row.
The first row of the pattern is worked with the larger needle.
Change to smaller needle for size 2 and remaining rows.
1 - K1, P1, K1, yo, *K3, P2, P3 tog, P2, K3*, yo, K1, yo, repeat between *,
Once more, yo, K1, P1, K1.
2 - K1, P1, K1, P4, K5, P9, K5, P4, K1, P1, K1.
3 - K1, P1, K1, yo, *K4, P1, P3 tog, P1, K4*, yo, K1, yo, repeat between *, yo, K1, P1, K1.
4 - K1, P1, K1, P5, K3, P11, K3, P5, K1, P1, K1.
5 - K1, P1, K1, yo, *K5, P3 tog, K5*, yo, K1, yo, repeat between *, yo, K1, P1, K1.
6 - K1, P1, K1, P6, K1, P13, K1, P6, K1, P1, K1.
Repeat rows 1-6 until piece measures 30” or until half of the yarn is knitted.
Set aside on a spare needle (either size 7 or smaller).
Make a second piece in the same manner. Place right sides together and join using
3-needle bind off.
Soak completely in luke-warm water and pin flat to block.
